The Dinosaur Train Cake

So I only made the fondant pieces for this cake (everything but the clouds). She had a specific cake that they always do for birthdays, so she wanted to make the cake herself.

The Treasure Chest Cake

I made this cake for a church event where the theme was "treasures of the heart". I was extremely nervous, but it turned out really well. It's just chocolate cake with buttercream frosting for the base, then for the top I did rice krispie treats for the people who didn't want chocolate. The straps and "metal" pieces are all fondant.

The Logan's 1st Birthday Cake

I made this for my son's first birthday. The animals are all hand made out of fondant. Once again, my colors bled together a bit. Should have waited to pipe until right before, but there was too much going on.

The Valentine's Day Owl Cupcakes

These were the winners! Unfortunately, I didn't realize that fondant bleeds on this whipped cream frosting recipe. So the color bled a little bit.

The Heart Cupcakes

I was experimenting with ideas for a Valentine's Day cupcake order for 4 dozen cupcakes. This was not the winner, but they were delicious. The cake was a rich, dense chocolate chip chocolate cupcake with a chocolate whipped cream frosting with a chocolate heart on top.

The 25th Birthday Cupcakes

I am offically 25 years old. These are the cupcakes I made for myself.

The Ding Dongs

So I've been experimenting with new recipes/desserts lately. It's not exactly a well decorated cupcake, but I made homemade ding dongs. This was my first time filling a cupcake. They turned out absolutely delicious. Maybe this will give new meaning to "ding dong ditching". You've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
