The Racecar Cake

This cake was an experience. Let's just say ... I'm still learning. The cakes were chocolate with a ganache filling, and the other was french vanilla with a strawberry cheesecake filling. Well, the walls of frosting holding the filling in were collapsing, and the cake was falling apart. I was lucky it stayed in tact for the party ;)

I'm still having issues getting smooth icing without picking up any cake. I think I'm just doing it too thick.
